Astbury and Duffy took the techno trends in the early eighties and injected hypnotic guitars and a pounding rhythm section. Duffy's guitars and melodies are as hypnotic as Astbury's vocals are deep and soulful. 'She Sells Sanctuary' even wound up in a Nissan commercial 20 years after it's release. --johnk5150
