Night Songs was a much heavier (and much better) album than many would have expected from a glam band called Cinderella. With a blues-based, AC/DC type of riff driven style Cinderella burst onto the scene with a little help from Bon Jovi and a lot of help from Mtv, but even without the polka-dot girls in their videos, the big hair, sparkling spandex and the spinning guitars, this would still be one hell of an album. With Keifer's raspy snarl ripping out over the pounding drums and crunching guitar, Night Songs produced three mega-hits but their albums after this one became progressively more and more blues oriented losing much of the fire of their debut. --Scott
