The return of Ted Poley. Let's be honest, it was inevitable. Despite the undeniable talent of Paul Laine, the band was famous for a feelgood sound that was made popular with another singer. He was never going to be they guy. The opener, That's What I'm Talking About, is an absolute anthem. It's a triumphant return, literally written for Ted Poley. (It's been a long time coming, but I'm back in the game - I'm gonna hit the ground running like nothing's changed.) After that opening, some of the other songs sound a little light. Despite some ripping guitar riffs, some subtle keyboards and lighter vocals leave the songs a little poppier than I would have liked. A little more Survivor than Dokken, but when you bring back Ted Poley, that's what you have to expect. There is a nice guest appearance by Bruno's old Westworld bandmate Tony Harnell in track two. He sounds good with Ted and honestly Ted is sounding better than ever. If you are one of the many D2 fans that have been hoping for this reunion, you couldn't ask for much more. The songs are mostly catchy and well written and the production sounds great. If you ever liked Danger Danger, you can't not like this album. --Scott
