The first of the two outcast Riot cds, this one and The Privilege of Power veered sharply from their previous path. With a new singer and a much heavier direction, Riot may have picked up some new fans, but no doubt managed to alienate some old ones. I was one of the new class though. I loved this cd. The guitar playing is outstanding, the drumming unreal and I found Tony Moore to be an upgrade from their previous frontman. It's very heavy, almost speed metal in some places, but Tony manages to find vocal melodies that soar over the frantic fretwork in a very Judas Priest like fashion. If you liked Priest's Painkiler album, try Thundersteel. --Scott
