Motley Crue
Theatre of Pain
This was the first album release that I remember being really excited about. I read the metal magazines religiously looking for any advance information and pined over the many rumors that after Vince’s tragic car accident that Vince would go to jail and Nikki Sixx would have to take over lead vocals, but of course that never happened. This was however the album that cemented Motley Crue as my favorite band for years to come. It has since gotten a bad rap from many people, including Nikki Sixx, as being too commercial, but that doesn't hurt my opinion of this disc, just of Nikki. Who can forget Home Sweet Home's, reign as the most requested video? I guess Mtv did... --
