Salute
21 Guns was a project from former Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham that came two or three years too late. Salute was a highly polished album of tightly constructed, but sometimes generic songs. With good performances and glossy production, the music was somewhere in between the vein of the heavier side of Bad English or the lighter side of Mr. Big. Not quite heavy enough for the metal fans but too heavy for radio. Unfortunately it didn’t come out until 1992 and the audience for this type of music was quickly disappearing. In fact the only thing vanishing faster was the record label support for this kind of music, so 21 Guns was quickly doomed to the cut out bins. --
